Jean Louis Gomes brings decades of frontline experience to the world of emergency medicine. After serving as a Combat Medic with the 82nd Airborne beginning in 1984, he became an EMT in 1987 and a Paramedic in 1994. As Director of EMS at Fort Bragg from 1998 to 2009, he led with both expertise and dedication. Following events like 9/11, Jean Louis rejoined federal service with NDMS/DMAT NC-1 in 2002, where he recognized a greater calling—to educate and empower others in the critical field of disaster medicine.
